Victorian cottage, centre of Henley

Part of a large detached house, the Victorian Wing is completely private with it's own secluded courtyard and parking for up to 2 cars. This beautifully furnished and comfortable home, hidden away in the centre of Henley, is unique in offering a secluded and quiet spot. Part of a larger house, the Victorian wing is private, with its own secluded courtyard and parking for 2 cars. With 2 large double bedrooms upstairs (one a super-king bed, the other a zip and link king-size bed that can be 2 singles) and a small downstairs double bedroom this character home can sleep 6. There is also a small single chair bed in the 2nd bedroom in case you need a slightly different bed layout ...this is not recommended for adults, or long term. The main family bathroom upstairs has a roll-top bath and separate shower cubicle. The small downstairs bedroom has a loo and en-suite shower room. The traditional kitchen features a 3 oven range cooker, a double butler sink and is fully equipped with all modern needs; fridge, freezer, microwave, blender, washing machine, dryer and dishwasher. The separate dining room seats 6 people and opens out onto a pretty and secluded courtyard. The unique location means you can enjoy peace right in the middle of the town...but also you don't need to worry about being noisy. The cottage is packed full of character features and every effort has been made to ensure comfort; finest mattresses towels and linens, smart TV's, black out curtains, goose and feather down duvets and pillows (we are sorry that we don't provide synthetic bedding). **We do allow (and charge for) infants, however it's best to ask first about age because the house has steps both inside and out. The cottage therefore might not be ideal for toddlers or anyone with mobility issues. Please enquire first so that we can discuss suitability. Infants/babies are included as a person** Guests have use of the Victorian Wing (which is attached to, but private to our house) as well as exclusive use of the patio garden and parking for 2 cars. We provide freshly pressed linens and towels as well as paraben/SLS free toiletries. The kitchen and pantry has many basics available for our guests. We will welcome you to the cottage, show you around, answer any questions, and then leave you to it. If your stay is more than 4 days long (May to October) we will need to water the patio garden with your agreement. Check in is from 4pm, check out before 11am Henley is a famously pretty riverside town hosting some of the greatest UK events; the world renowned Henley Royal Regatta, Rewind Henley, The Festival of Music and Arts, The Henley Festival and plenty more. Always a popular choice with visitors from around the world it is within easy reach of London, Oxford, Heathrow and the Cotswolds. The town is filled with cafes, boutiques and restaurants..jolly good pubs too! 7 minutes walk from mainline station. Once here you can walk to the Town Square and River within 5 minutes . You won't need your car unless travelling out of town but we have plenty of parking for several cars (very rare for Henley!). 2 spaces are allocated for our guests. Henley is about 30 minutes drive from Heathrow (LHR) and we will happily book your airport transfers for you and pass the cost to you. Please do not make a booking, but get in touch. Prices are hard to gauge at the moment due to Covid rules. Thank you.
