Outside, a patio with garden furniture and barbecue.with a hot tub. Outside there is nothing but nature with plenty of interesting hiking paths and a petting zoo in the farmyard. For groceries and other services, there is only a 5 minute drive to Egilsstaðir. Our guests have the whole house for themselves as well as access to the petting zoo and are free to walk around the property as they like. This is a working horse ranch so we are often around. We'd love to show you the farm and how it operates so don't hesitate to ask if there is something we can show you or help you with. The town of Egilsstaðir is in a 5 minute driving distance where you find supermarkets, gas stations, pharmacy, health care center, swimming pool, restaurants, tourist information, gift shops, clothing stores, art gallery and bars. Finnsstaðir is located in the center of East Iceland which makes it an ideal station for day trips to the Eastfjords, the fishing villages by the coast, the waterfalls Hengifoss and Fardagafoss, Hallormsstadaskógur National Forest, Vök Baths etc. For hikers, there are plenty of interesting and diverse hiking paths in the vicinity at all difficulty levels. The farm is accessible by any car. There is plenty of parking space. In Egilsstaðir there are buses, taxis and an airport with daily flights to Reykjavík. There are two lovely cats living on the property. The cats don't live in the houses but they love to be around people, you can invite them inside if you like.
