Beautiful 4 bedroom barn conversion set in rural location, overlooking fields and private stretch of the River Avon. Sleeps 8 and is the perfect space for family and friends gatherings or business stays. After a 10 minute drive from Junction 17 off the M4, down a long track and under the railway arch you'll find a lovely converted barn with acres of land and a private stretch of the River Avon at the bottom of the fields. The owners live in the converted cowsheds adjacent to the barn, so are on hand to help with any inquiries. You have your own front and back door. The huge kitchen with an Aga and masses of seating, either round an island or at the large farmhouse kitchen table. A large walk in larder is great for all the weekend food and it has a separate booze fridge. There is a spacious living room with a large sofa and chairs, a separate snug with sofa and chairs and a downstairs bedroom with ensuite shower room. Underfloor heating on the ground floor. Upstairs there are 3 more bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with a raised walkway connecting them. The master bedroom also has a separate staircase leading up from the snug. All the beds are made with lovely Saigon bedding and there are large bathsheet towels for all guests. The kitchen which faces West has the sun all day long and in the evening you can enjoy the sunsets which can be spectacular. Outside the kitchen there is a large table with seating for 10 and a bbq for your use. There is a large sail over the table to help shield the sun. A pretty raised boxed garden and olive trees along with a beech hedge surrounding the area make you feel totally secluded. You are free to walk down to the river through the fields. There is plenty of parking space and Barn Farm lends itself to either filling the house with friends to enjoy get togethers or midweek for Business and company meetings. We ask that you contact us prior to booking if you wish to bring infants or children. We’ve had some issues with previous guests so we’d like to discuss your requirements. You can walk (approx 20 mins) to our local pubs which serves food. Market towns of Marlborough, Cirencester, Malmesbury and Tetbury are all within 40 minutes drive and Bath and Bristol are about 50 minutes away. There is a good train service from Chippenham which is the main London Paddington to Bristol line. Famous places to visit are Westonbirt Arboretuem, Lacock Abbey, Castle Coombe and Avebury all of which are about 30 - 40 minutes away. You also have many wonderful gardens to visit including HRH the Prince of Wales Highgrove home. The Barn and designated garden areas together with a large level grassed area. Open fields with access to the River Avon. Fishing available in season and as agreed beforehand with host (Rod & Line License required) We live on site in ancillary accommodation and will normally be available to assist and answer any questions if you so wish. Barn Farm is a cluster of agricultural buildings built in the mid 1700's. There is a converted Threshing Barn (the property) converted Cowshed and a currently dilapidated cottage (awaiting planning) 15 minutes walk from the village A car is essential. Location is perfect for cycling and walking. We DO NOT have fibre broadband but a 4G Hub provides internet access.
