Colman's Cottage is located on the Norfolk-Suffolk border, in the Waveney Valley and just 30mins from Southwold and the coast. In grounds of 7 acres including a lake and woodland, it is a haven for wildlife and an ideal base for a relaxing holiday. The oldest parts of Colman's cottage date from the 17th century and have been sympathetically renovated over the last year. Within a short walk of the cottage are a village shop, pub, a restaurant, and Broome Heath which is ideal for fishing. Colman's cottage is a period property dating from the 17th century and has has been extensively renovated over the last year. There is 1 bedrooms upstairs with a King size bed, and a shower room. Downstairs has an entrance hall with doors leading off to lounge-diner and kitchen with induction hob. The property benefits from a fully enclosed, private courtyard garden with patio seating. Guests also have access to the walled garden of the main house. If you plan on fishing or cycling we have a large workshop available to store your belongings. Please note that the woodburner in the lounge is not functional. You will have exclusive access to the cottage and the rear courtyard during your stay. You may also use the walled garden which is a shared space with the owners and other guests. We live on-site so are available and are happy to help if you need us Directly opposite the cottages is Broome Heath, a 32 hectare Nature Reserve which is an ideal spot for walking and fishing. Situated around the heath are a village shop, pub and restaurant. Crowfoot's Cottage is just a 15 minute walk from the historic market town of Bungay. Filled with independent local shops, cafes and restaurants as well as attractions such as the Fisher Theatre, Castle and museum there is plenty to tempt you out and about. A little further afield, 15 miles to the north, is the cathedral city of Norwich, with its magnificent Norman castle and medieval streets. To the East are the glorious beaches of the Norfolk and Suffolk coast. There is a bus service to the neighbouring village (6 minutes walk), with regular services to Norwich, Bungay and Beccles. The nearest train stations are in Beccles, Diss and Norwich. Norwich International Airport is just under 20 miles to the North.
