The Studio is in a stunning location in the heart of Ashdown Forest with direct access from the gate onto forest paths. The space is open plan allowing light throughout. We have maps and details of walks in our welcome book for walkers. Dogs are welcome. We make a £10 per night charge for dogs with a maximum of £30 per stay. Now with enclosed courtyard garden - photos to follow. Well equipped kitchen, large table, sofa with TV on wall plus bedroom with king bed & good sized shower room. The Studio now has an enclosed courtyard garden which is safe for dogs. We are ideally located for bird watchers and walkers or anybody who enjoys nature and the chance to live 'away from it all' down a long private drive. It is an idyllic location. There is a riding school and trekking centre very close to us for anybody who would like to ride a horse on the forest. Let me know and I can try to book for you. We provide a Nespresso coffee machine and milk frother in the kitchen. We provide coffee pods free of charge. The latest addition to the Studio is a fire pit so you can sit outside even when it gets a bit chilly in the evenings. We provide good dry wood and kindling. Please be aware that the king size bed is low to the ground (although with a very good and comfortable mattress) and this might be difficult for anybody with mobility issues. Vast acres of open heathland and woodland to walk to your heart's content. We actually back onto the Old Lodge Nature Reserve which is rich in bird life. You can hear the nightjars every evening in the summer and the stone chats on the heath during the day. There are two lovely pubs within walking distance. Also we are close to the historic town of Tunbridge Wells and very close to the village of Forest Row with its interesting collection of alternative shops and restaurants. We live in the house at the end of the drive and will be available to advise and help out whenever necessary. We are located down a private drive and are well off the road. There are 6 houses, several dogs and a few peacocks in our small hamlet. There is also a herd of deer that spend most of their time in the woodland next to the Studio. It is ideal for bird watchers with the Old Lodge Nature Reserve adjacent to our property. The bird life is astounding and we always hear nightjars in the summer months. There are no buses in our immediate neighbourhood but there are trains from London to Cowden (on the Crowborough line) and East Grinstead, both of which are about a 15 minute drive away. We are happy to pick up from the station for a small charge. Dogs are welcome. The charge is £10 per night per dog with a maximum of £30 per stay per dog. The garden is enclosed and safe for dogs.
