Private Studio flat in Ditchling

**Due to the COVID-19, we’re taking extra steps to clean and sanitise frequently touched surfaces & until June 21st we are leaving a one night gap between reservations. ** The ideal home from home in a unique village surrounded by beautiful countryside. Our modern & bright studio flat comfortably accommodates two people with a double bed, cosy lounge area, wifi, well equipped kitchen and spacious shower room. Ideally situated close to the centre of the stunningly beautiful village of Ditchling. Our open plan first floor studio flat comfortably accommodates two adults with a double bed (memory foam mattress & feather duvet), sofa, TV, wifi, well equipped kitchen with fridge, freezer, oven, hob, microwave and walk in shower room. The flat is accessed via your own front door and a staircase. You have a designated place to park your car in our drive. Guests will be provided with fluffy towels, bedding, hair drier, tea and coffee, pint of milk, local free range eggs and condiments. As well as essentials such as loo roll, shampoo, kitchen roll washing up liquid etc. There is also an iron & small ironing board. A mid week towel change can be arranged on request. (Clothes washer/drier available for a small charge) For longer stays we will arrange a mid week cleaner for an additional charge. Babies are welcome but you will need to bring your own cot etc. The flat is not suitable for small children as there is no stair gate. To limit our impact on the environment we provide milk in glass bottles, refill our washing up liquid and hand soap using environmentally friendly products. We have changed most of our lighting to energy efficient LED bulbs. We encourage you to recycle. A compost caddy is also provided. To enhance your stay we have written a manual containing information about the local area including activities and places to eat. There is an OS walking map and several interesting books about the area. There are board games and puzzles should you decide to stay in. A later checkout is sometimes possible on request. You have your own private front door. The studio flat is accessed via a staircase. There is a gravel drive and off road parking available for ONE car. We will be delighted to welcome you to your accommodation to complete a checkin and checkout. Should you like any information or have any problems during your stay we live opposite. Apart from that you are free to enjoy the privacy of your own place. Enjoy! Charming village has two pubs serving delicious food. A tea room serving breakfast, lunches, cakes and homemade bread. A museum with a coffee & gift shop at its entrance. A deli and an ice cream shop, all within 5 minutes walk of the flat. Footpaths to access the downs including the South Downs Way within a stones throw of the flat. Great for walking, horse riding and mountain biking. Cycle hire is available from Hassocks, details on request. We are just 40minutes drive from Gatwick airport and 15mins drive to Brighton, London is one hour by train from Hassocks station. Public transport in Ditchling is very limited. Busses pass through the village only twice per day! The closest town with a train station, shops and supermarket is Hassocks which is a 10 minute drive/bike ride away. A taxi to here costs around £6.50. Footpaths for walking are plentiful. Brighton is approximately 15minutes drive. However parking can be very expensive. If staying more than a few hours a good idea is to park at Hassocks station and visit Brighton by train, a ticket costs £4.70 return. Parking at the station is £4.90 all day. London is approximately 1hour away by train. Ticket prices vary depending on your time of travel. Off peak is around £20 return, peak time £40 return. The flat is accessed via an open staircase therefore not suitable for young children.
