Homely Country Cottage -South Downs national park
A spacious cosy cottage nestled into the foothills of Steep hangars with stunning views from the fields and woodland around the cottage. The main living area is a light and airy space on one floor with underfloor heating throughout. Fully equipped modern kitchen and bathroom with shower and bath. 2 spacious bedrooms with double beds. Fold up bed and cot also available. Local pub is a five minute walk up quiet country lane. There is a small safely enclosed back terrace and ample parking. The cottage is on one floor with no steps or stairs for toddlers or elderly. It is a pleasant half hour walk across fields to the historic market town of Petersfield where there are plenty of shops and restaurants as well as a delightful lake. There is a small safely enclosed back terrace garden with garden chairs and a chiminea for those cool evenings. We live nearby so we can be on hand if you have any problems but your privacy will be well respected. A five minute minute drive takes you to the historic town of petersfield. A pretty little market town with a wealth of places to eat and shop. Head down to the heath for a walk or picnic by the lake, feed the ducks and swans or make use of the huge play area. Or....just stay at home and enjoy the peace and quiet! It is a 25 minute walk through fields to to town, and there are several walks which start from the house. The Cricketers pub is a five minute walk and there are many more very close by. Car parking adjacent to the cottage in private driveway. The village of Steep is laced with wonderful walking. We have a wealth of great pubs within five miles and the town of Petersfield is a charming little market town with lots to offer. Winchester, Chichester Goodwood racing and motor circuit and the coast are all within a half hour drive. We are situated in the heart of the South Downs and the countryside here is hard to beat.
