Forest Den

Welcome to The Forest Den set in almost 1 and a half acres which has just been beautifully renovated offering a chic rural retreat. Forest Den is probably the closest accommodation to Pooh sticks bridge and set in the Heart of the Ashdown Forest with direct access into the famous 100 Acre Wood from AA Milne's Winnie the Pooh! Forest Den is a super cosy rural retreat offering a get away from it all lodge at the same time as offering all the creature comforts for a holiday or weekend break. Thank you for interest in The Forest Den! Due to recent circumstances... I want to assure all our guests that the Den is thoroughly deep cleaned after every guest with antibacterial wipes and sprays. The sheets, bedding, towels and tea cloths are also washed on 60 degrees with dettol antibacterial too. The safety of our guests is paramount! Forest Den has been totally refurbished for July 2019 and offers a cosy studio cottage. It has luxury lounge and sleeping space with a high end brand new sofa bed with memory foam mattress, feather plume bedding, and cotton sheets, with a fully equipped brand new studio kitchen with twin hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, sink (cold water) brand new and spacious separate outdoor bathroom (cold water sink, hot shower, toilet), flat screen HD TV (DVD player) on the wall and a dinning space. Outside guests can enjoy exclusive access of the apple orchard for relaxing. In addition guests will have gated parking and free tours of the forest on request. So if you like walking, this is the place to be! We are set in the heart of the Ashdown forest! 🌳 Guests can access our garden , orchard and field. We would like you to feel like you are at home ! As hosts we will be delighted to help you make the most of your stay to this beautiful part of England. We are always on hand in the main house just opposite and would love to help our guests with anything we can. The Ashdown Forest is a unique place set in over 6500 acres of stunning forest. It offers many local attractions and things to do. It is famous for Winnie the Pooh of course and there is the famous Pooh Corner Café in the village, 100 acre wood directly next to Forest Den, castles to visit (Hever being the most famous, stunning walks, horse riding, country pubs and the sea is a 45 minute drive. With some of the best walks in the South of England getting around on Foot is advised to take in the stunning scenery and to spot some of the local wildlife. It is advisable to bring the car as there are many attractions a short drive away and we have private off street parking. There are a few shops only a short drive away & a lovely organic shop about 15 min walk away through the forest! We have 2 dogs and 3 cats that have free roam of the garden. They don’t have access to the den as there is a fence surrounding the den. When you come out of the gate of the den you will probably meet them. They are very friendly though and love people!
