Granite farmhouse in beautiful and peaceful estate

Beautiful 4 bedroom granite house, with living/dining room, fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, shared pool, large terrace with barbecue and games area, green areas, farm animals and various cultivation areas and orchards, perfect for a relaxing getaway Quinta do Panasco is a working farm, focusing mainly on cherries and olives (yielding a strong and rich olive oil). It consists of three old style granite farmhouses, totally renovated in 2010, combining a relaxing countryside feel with modern comforts, swimming pool, farm animals and plenty of amazing open air space to just wander, have a picnic or pick some fruit or vegetables. The "Casa do Forno" is a beautiful 4 double bedroom granite farmhouse, with living/dining room with fireplace, fully equipped kitchen and a large terrace with barbecue and resting and games area, is just perfect for a relaxing getaway, with family or friends. We can add 2 extra folding single beds for children and 1 travel crib for a baby, if required. Guests will have private access to the hole house, equipped with basic necessities (kitchen ware, linen), as well as to the terrace, with barbecue, resting area and toilet. You will also have shared access to an outside wood fired oven, swimming pool and a separate barbecue area, as well as free access to the 15 hectare Estate - orchards, kitchen garden, olive grove, several ponds, a small pinewood and other farm features. There's a washing machine in the annex - ask us how to use it. Other guests or family members might or might not be staying in one of the other houses, but the privacy of our guests is paramount. There's usually someone in the premises, taking care of the animals, who only speaks Portuguese, but is willing to help anyway she can. Her name is ISAURA. And you're always welcome to email us with any questions. At a driving distance from the town of Covilhã and Serra da Estrela, this is the perfect option for a family vacation in the countryside. To fully enjoy the region it’s advisable to have your own car. There's plenty of parking space at Quinta do Panasco. No public transports stop at the estate, but there are coaches that stop at Peraboa, a small village 2km away. – Smoking is completely forbidden inside the house; – Guests may use the swimming pool on their on risk and are responsible for their own safety whilst in the pool area; – No children are allowed near the pool without adult supervision; – All non national guests are required to provide ID information, in order to comply with the Portuguese Immigration and Borders Service's (SEF) reporting requirements; - No pets allowed; - We provide linen and bedding. - High season - minimum 3 nights There's a variety of fruit trees around the estate (peach, pear, apple, cherry, fig, etc.), and a vegetable garden near the house. Feel free to pick some fruit and/or vegetables. There's a friendly "serra da estrela" dog, named RICKY, that run free around the Estate, geese, chicken and other farm animals.
