The Abbey Apartment. Welcome to our cosy, first floor apartment in the town of Bury St Edmunds, only 5 minutes walk from the vibrant town centre. The apartment has a King sized bed with dressing room; two comfy chairs in which to relax, together with a kitchen/diner and shower room. Well furnished and kept clean it offers you a lovely base from which to explore Bury St Edmunds and the surrounding area. The apartment is on the first floor, with it's private entrance straight off the street. The kitchen/diner overlooks the private courtyard car park which leads to the garden, in the centre of the property. The garden is always available, with chair's tables and padded benches to enjoy the well kept flower beds and the afternoon and evening sun. The apartment has it's own discrete entrance but is part of The Abbey Hotel site, so we are always across the courtyard should you need us. We know as much as you would need and are always happy to share. Southgate Street is a pleasant road leading to the Cathedral, the Abbey Gardens and into the heart of Bury St Edmunds. The walk into town takes you past Tudor houses,the Greene King Brewery, the Theatre Royal, the Cathedral and the Abbey. A history lesson while on the way to the pubs, cafes and shops. We are a five minute drive from the A14 and once you've parked in our car park you can enjoy all of the town centre on foot. You can walk along the river or the streets to enjoy our neighbourhood. In the surrounding area we have country parks, country houses and beautiful villages. Breakfast is available every morning in the hotel on a pay as you eat basis.
