To allay any fears prospective guests may have stemming from the current Covid-19 crisis, Mike and Cheri, the owners of the property are both ex-healthcare providers and understand, and are used to working to, the strictest cross-infection control guidelines. Mike and Cheri worked together in Dental Practices for over 30 years, providing surgical and implant dental procedures. For clarity, we do not use external cleaning agencies and clean and maintain the property ourselves.......for obvious reasons. We constantly update our cleaning policies and procedures as guidelines evolve, and all our bed linen, towels, throws, cushions and soft furnishing covers etc are chosen to be able to be laundered at the highest temperatures between guests. We are aiming to provide as many "single guest use" items as is practical at present, such as handwash along with handgel at the entrance to the property for our guests' added security. We have reviewed the guidelines provided by "Homeaway" for their hosts and are committed to following the guidelines therein as far is humanly possible. Antiviral/antibacterial cleaning agents and disposables are used throughout the property. The accommodation is recently converted and finished to a high standard, with all new fixtures. Smart television and WiFi are included. The emphasis is on comfort and luxury in a tranquil and relaxing setting, perfect for unwinding, with wonderful scenic walks from the door, and a base to explore the beautiful English Lakes. Historic Cumbrian towns and villages are easily accessed and the region has an enviable reputation for dining out, ranging from the several Michelin starred restaurants in the area to rustic Pubs providing delicious locally sourced produce and ales brewed in Lakeland microbreweries. Arnside is located in an area designated as an AONB, Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Sycamore House is permanently tranquil. It is ideally suited for a "recharging getaway" at any time of year. There are "seasonal" opportunities over the entire area of The English Lake District within easy travelling distance, and we can recommend itineries that are guaranteed to delight, having lived in and loved the area all our lives. We have secure storage for any outdoor equipment you may choose to bring, like bikes, and the property is extremely private with automated gate entry.
