This old cozy house in the old part of Súðavík was originally the post office for the town and the home of the postmaster and his family. It has now been renovated and changed into a summerhouse. It is well located with a short walking distance to the local playground, the harbor and The Arctic Fox Centre. It only takes about 15 minutes to drive over to Ísafjörður, the "capital" of the Westfjords, where you can find grocery stores, a bakery, banks, gift shops and restaurants. You will find everything you need in the house, except for wifi and a TV, which isn't really necessary with the view you have from the house. The house was built in 1920 so it is quite old but newly renovated, but still has the charms of a old house. The kitchen has all the appliances needed, the dining table can seat up to 8 people. The bathroom is small but has everything you should need. There are two bedrooms in the house. One bedroom has a twin room that can be pushed together and the second bedroom has a bunk-bed and one single bed. There is a couch in the living room that can be folded out and changed into a room. There is a basement that can be accessed from outside, but it is not in use. In the basement you can find fishing-poles which are allowed to use to fish down at the harbor. As this is our summerhouse we will leave the key in a key box by the door. We are though by the phone and email if there is anything you need and we have contacts in the town if anything needs to be done or fixed. Towels and linen is included.
