Lovely character cottage by Suffolk Heritage Coast
A delightful 17th Century cottage in the picturesque Suffolk village of Bramfield. An ideal location for a relaxing holiday. Lovely rural walks from the house, an award winning pub and village shop. The Suffolk Heritage Coast is just 6 miles away with beautiful beaches and coastal walks. The picturesque seaside towns of Southwold and Aldeburgh are close by. The nearest beach is Dunwich (seasonal cafe for fish and chips). The gorgeous seaside village of Walberswick is our family favourite. The cottage is in a quiet rural setting nestled amongst small holdings. The cottage has two reception areas with wood burners on the ground floor, one of which is open to the kitchen. There is also a WC and shower room downstairs. There are two double bedrooms on the first floor and the third bedroom is accessed via one of these rooms. The main bathroom is also on the 1st floor and is accessed through the bedrooms. The garden is peaceful and secluded, with 2 eating areas (a lovely breakfast/ drinks/lunch spot and a large outdoor dining table), a hanging chair, hammock, comfy seats, deckchairs, BBQ and firepit and outdoor lighting around the herb-planted eating area. In spring and summer it is filled with beautiful and fragrant blooms and laden fruit trees. The whole Cottage except the two top attic bedrooms We live locally, but will not be there to meet in person, We are on the phone and email to help with anything. There’s so much going on depending on whether you want to be active or relax, or whether you have children to entertain. The Heritage Coast has it all, wildlife reserves, beautiful beaches, towns to explore. Snape Maltings shops and concert hall are nearby offering a little culture and RSPB Minsmere for nature. There’s Kitesurfing and paddle boarding for the adventurous. Walk from Walberswick to Southwold and stop at one of the many pubs. Or take the row-boat ferry from Walberswick to Southwold (seasonal). Crabbing at Walberswick is a long-standing family favourite. Take the kids to Africa Alive or the Camel Centre. Go for a horse/pony ride at North Manor riding stables at the end of the Lane. Browse the many antique shops, have brunch at Two Magpies, or pop in to the Queens Head in the Village or the Star at Wenhaston. Keep an eye out for the Kestral and Barn Owl in the field behind the cottage. It’s best to have a car, but you can get the train to Darsham and book a taxi from there. Bring a bike and explore the lanes. As the cottage is rather old, the ceilings aren’t the highest.. I lived here ok and am 6ft.. much taller you might have to duck. The doors into the bathroom and bedroom 3 are not full height, you have to duck a little to go through them.
