The Stone House has it's own entrance and unrestricted on street parking and there is a very frequent bus service for the short journey into Oxford. The accommodation includes a fully fitted kitchen but you may prefer to let someone else do the cooking and enjoy a meal in the restaurant. Located the rear of the Sun, there is a side gate which provides access through the pub garden to The Stone House or during opening hours accessed through the Pub. Wheatley is a popular village located about 5 miles (8km) east of Oxford City. The village has a selection of pubs, restaurants take aways and cafes all within walking distance. Local amenities include a post office, chemist, a coffee shop, bakery, butchers, hairdressers, village church and library as well as the Co-Op supermarket and a larger ASDA supermarket on the far side of the village. There are plenty of options for Countryside walks with access nearby to Shotover park. There is unrestricted on street parking on the surrounding roads as well as parking spaces to the front of The Sun. We can provide a secure area to park your bikes. Wheatley has regular bus services to Oxford, Thame and Aylesbury running approximately every 15 minutes throughout the day and into the evening. There are various local taxi firms available for other journeys or later nights out.
