The Cartlodge

The cartlodge is in the grounds of our home and we are available if you need advice on surrounding area and general queries. But your will have the privacy of your own space The property is set behind electric gates and has lovely views of the Suffolk countryside. It’s 5 mins drive in to Bury st Edmunds our beautiful market town. The Cartlodge is a private area, just for your use set behind electric gates with parking for up to 3 cars. There are 2 double bedrooms. 1 on the ground floor with an en-suit and also a french doors to a private patio area. The 2nd bedroom is upstairs and has the use of a full shower/ bathroom. There is an open plan kitchen/dining/ lounge area with bi- fold doors that open to a Juliette balcony, with fabulous views over Suffolk countryside and Ickworth Park. The patio that is for the use of the cartlodge has a bbq available by request for the summer months. We are available by phone, text and email at most times or will get back to you promptly. But will also give you your own space. We are in a village 5 mins drive to Bury St Edmunds. Ickworth House ( National Trust) is 5 mins drive and the coast is an hour away. Bury st Edmunds is a gem to explore with the Abbey Gardens, Green king Brewery, moyses Hall museum and a twice a week market. Within driving distance is Cambridge with it’s beautiful university’s and punting on the river A car is best in Suffolk, but for a night out book a cab. We have a secure locked garage for bikes if you would like to bring them. Great cycle routes around the area and the kings forest/ high lodge.
