Primrose Cottage in the Peak District

Primrose Cottage is a spacious and comfortable one bedroomed cottage set adjacent to the owners property. Accommodation is split level with a couple of steps separating the bedroom and living area from the fully equipped dining kitchen. A modern shower room with complementary toiletries complete the space. Guests can access the cottage either from the shared courtyard or the private garden area. There is off street parking and wifi at the property. Guests have the use of a private garden area with seating, adjacent to the kitchen garden, home to our five very friendly, chatty chickens. Fresh eggs aplenty! A complementary welcome pack including milk and bread is provided, along with tea and coffee and we are on hand to ensure your break is as relaxing as possible. Situated in a quiet location a short walk from the centre of Glossop. Excellent restaurants, pubs, cafes and artisanal shops are close. We are surrounded by the most glorious countryside and a 10 minute walk from the cottage will find you up in the hills with miles of footpaths and open country to explore plus spectacular views across Kinder Scout, Bleaklow Moor and on a clear day all the way to Manchester. Local attractions include the National Trust property of Lyme Park (30 mins drive), Chatsworth House (1 hour drive), the charming villages of Castleton, Eyam and Tideswell. For those tempted by a glass of something fortifying, Glossop has it's own brewery, distillery and vineyard. The vibrant cities of Manchester and Sheffield are within easy reach. Whilst a car is recommended for accessing most places, Glossop is also well served with bus routes, including across the Snake Pass to Sheffield. There is also a regular train service into Manchester. Cycling in the area is very popular, the alpine style climb up to Snake Summit is a classic!
