The Cedars has a large lawn and set within a beautiful natural area with large mature trees and scenic views. The annexe has an outdoor seating area for two within a traditional courtyard. There is a shared conservatory for both annexes. The annexe has private parking. Dog friendly. The farmhouse annexe has recently been created from the main farmhouse and has been newly decorated and recently refurbished so has some modern features as well as old features. The annexe captures the essence of the period property boasting traditional features and features added on through the centuries. The views from the front of the property are breathtaking with views for miles across the once Sherwood Forest and organic farm land of the historic Estate and its animals and wildlife. The farm is 287 acre organic mixed livestock and arable farm. Heated by a sustainable biomass boiler, using timber from farm woodlands. There is a porch area, a kitchen and living area and a traditional spiral staircase upstairs to the bedroom and large bathroom. Positioned in Normanton-on-Soar, it's is only a 10 minute drive from East Midlands airport and central to many attractions nearby including Caulke Abbey at Ticknall. There is lots to do and see in the midlands, while also enjoying the peace and calm of the countryside whilst staying at the Annexes. The property has its own outdoor seating area and bbq. You are welcome to walk and sit in the garden. A travel cot and highchair can be provided if needed. Please note: the staircase is a traditional spiral, please see pictures. As an annexe to the main farmhouse there is potential for noise as a working farm and family home. There is an unfenced pond in the garden. Available for questions via Airbnb messenger. A short walk to the village of Normanton on Soar, where there is a riverside pub and a traditional chain ferry across the river. There is also a public slipway for boating. To welcome you to our beautiful farmhouse annexe we provide a welcome pack including a litre of fresh organic milk, 6 fresh organic eggs, a couple of sachets of cafetière coffee, a few tea bags and sugar.
