Pet friendly Set within the conservation area of the picturesque village of South Creake, Wagtail Barn is close to the gorgeous North Norfolk coastline, with Holkham Hall, Wells-next-the-Sea and Burnham Market nearby. Recently renovated the cottage is packed full of features including a wood burner, hot tub and 2 parking spaces. Wells-next-the-Sea lies within easy reach and boasts a wide sandy beach, coloured beach huts, picturesque fishing harbour and quayside popular with fresh shellfish and there are lots of artisan shops, cafés, bars and restaurants. The Wells beach forms part of the Holkham Estate which has miles of beautiful sandy beaches, including a dog friendly beach. North Norfolk has a stunning coastline with a host of pretty seaside towns and villages offering a variety of coastal habitats including beaches, salt marshes and quays. Excellent cycling and walking can be enjoyed from the door step with a network of footpaths and the Norfolk Coastal footpath is 5½ miles away. The market town of Fakenham is 5 miles away, offers a range of shops including a Little Waitrose, restaurants, bowling alley, cinema and horse racing course. Bustling Burnham Market is just 4 miles away, where you can enjoy art galleries, boutique shops and fabulous dining venues. Head to Hunstanton for all the fun of the fair or to Blakeney for the popular pursuit of crabbing. Take a boat trip to see the seals, head to Brancaster for sailing lessons or a round of golf. History buffs will enjoy a visit to Walsingham Abbey or stately homes at Holkham, Houghton and The Royal Sandringham Estate which all host a range of events throughout the year. The area is perfect for nature lovers who will find a wealth of wildlife habitats and nature reserves with the award winning, Pensthorpe Nature Park also with outdoor adventure play area. Enjoy a day out in the city of Norwich with its market, excellent shopping malls and theatre. Hot tub (private use) screened with handwoven willow fence, sail shade providing shade in the summer and cover in the winter for all year round use of the hot tub. Hot tub is cleaned prior to your arrival and is checked and monitored during your stay. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. The whole property and its gardens are available for your use. It has 2 parking spaces (off road). The barn is all on one ground floor level. No steps or stairs. Host lives nearby. South Creake is a traditional North Norfolk village located between the market town of Fakenham and the coast. In the centre is a village green with a pretty stream running through it. Newly refurbished village pub within walking distance. Wells-next –the –Sea is within easy reach and boasts a wide sandy beach, colourful beach huts, picturesque fishing harbour and quayside. Here you can find fresh shellfish and artisan shops, cafés, bars and restaurants. The beach here forms part of the Holkham Estate which has miles of beautiful sandy beaches. Norfolk is also very dog friendly and most pubs allow well behaved dogs. Our favourites is the terrace at the White Horse at Brancaster, where you can watch the glorious sunset or the Beach Café at Wells next the Sea, which is well catered for dogs with plenty of water bowls and lots of seating either inside or out. South Creake is close to Fakenham where you can find a number of bus services to take you across Norfolk and beyond. There are some historic train routes located through Norfolk with the nearest being between Wells and Walsingham. It offers a steam train scenic journey through some wonderful quaint villages. If you enjoy walking, try the Norfolk Coastal Path that stretches from Hunstanton to Sea Palling. You can join the path at various points along the coast and can hop onto the bus for the return journey. For a keen cyclist or just for fun Norfolk is a great county to cycle in. No need to bring your bike as there are several hire companies and plenty of roads and tracks nearby to choose from. Check in is from 4pm to allow for professional clean of the cottage and hot tub water change and time to the tub to heat up before your arrival . Departure by 10am
