Rural Retreat in South Derbyshire

Looking for a cosy and convenient place to stay, as well as somewhere that is peaceful and quiet, from which to explore the delights of Derbyshire? Then come to Stag Cottage; a self-contained one bedroomed accommodation. Stag Cottage is part of Hayeswood Farm, a smallholding, with beautiful local walks a-plenty. The accommodation is completely renovated and includes a bedroom with attached shower room, and living room with kitchen combined. It has its own entrance and shared parking space. Stag Cottage has its own entrance (with steps) which leads into the main living area, containing books and a variety of games. There is a wood burning stove, and TV, and wi-fi is available. The kitchen contains an oven, microwave, induction hob, undercounter fridge (with freezer compartment), kettle, toaster, Tassimo coffee machine, and various crockery and cooking utensils. The bedroom is stocked with towels, extra blankets, and hairdryer, as well as complimentary toiletries. A washing machine and tumble dryer are available upon request for a small fee. Guests are welcome to make use of the patio area and garden, and also to wander around the small holding, but please be aware of trips and hazards, as Hayeswood Farm is still being renovated. The entrance to Stag Cottage is up and down various patio steps which may not be suitable for those with limited mobility. Photos of the steps can be sent upon request. There is also a step from the living room to the bedroom, so is not suitable for wheelchair users. We will be mostly available if you have any questions or need help We are a stone’s throw from Morley Hayes Golf club and hotel, as well as being near to Breadsall Priory and Horsley Lodge. Derby city centre is 20 min drive. Plenty of local walks. The farm is up a farm track which is not suitable for sports cars. Please note that access to the cottage is via a long farm track which is unsuitable for sports cars.
