Located in a quiet gated community, this private, clean, updated cottage is surrounded by lush tropical palms, flowers, ferns, banana, cacao, mango and avocado trees. Fall asleep to the sounds of ocean waves, night birds (tiny coquis frogs) and occasional rain. Not to be missed is the unforgettable shower surrounded by nature just outside the shower room screens. This Pepeekeo Paradise located on the Hamakua Coast is only: • 23 minutes from Hilo Airport, 1 hour 45 minutes from the Kailua-Kona Airport. • 20 minutes to Rainbow Falls/Boiling Pots and a few more to Wai’ale Falls Hike • 40 miles to Volcano National Park. Nearby Attractions include: • Akaka Falls, • Hawai’i Tropical Botanical Gardens, • Umauma Falls, World Botanical Gardens, • Umauma Experience & Skyline Eco Adventure for Ziplines. Interaction with guests: The owners live in the nearby main home on the same property and are eager to help with questions and concerns. Guests have the cottage as their private domain, with their own parking spot, and access to roam the grounds, excluding the host's home and garage. We live in a gated community that has three different ocean accesses that lead to the coast line. We love going for short hikes to sit and look as the waves crash. We are in a remote location, a car is needed.
