A fully renovated and refurbished luxury haven, situated in the quiet hamlet of Tughall Steads – an 18th Century former farm, masterfully converted to provide unique and luxurious holiday accommodation. The quality and location of this beautiful cottage is very special indeed. Just a few minutes drive from some of the finest beaches in Northumberland - such as the incredible cove and beach at Beadnell - and very close to other major attractions e.g the village of Bamburgh and its famous castle Refurbished to a high standard, and only available as a holiday let in 2020, the two storey cottage has a spacious entrance hall with stairs leading to the first floor accommodation including two full-sized bedrooms (one with additional sofa bed), and a well-equipped family bathroom. All beds in the master and second bedroom are new from Jan 2022 and April 2021 respectively, and are all equipped with the highest quality Silent Night pocket spring / foam luxury mattresses. Downstairs is the lovely kitchen/breakfast room, fitted with a range of quality units incorporating electric hob and oven, integrated dishwasher, fridge, separate freezer, and Nespresso coffee machine. Also downstairs is the charming living room, decorated with original artwork from renowned local and international artists, and featuring an LED SMART TV (with Netflix), contemporary electric living flame fire, and picture window, alongside an access door leading on to the rear patio area. (Please note that the rear patio courtyard is not fully enclosed - although it is quite private and secluded. It is not suitable as a 'holding pen' for kids). Externally the property is approached to the front via a courtyard with block paved allocated parking. To the rear there is an open hard landscaped garden with additional vehicle access, block paving and stone flagged patio. The patio directly outside the back door of the cottage with table and chairs, and a bench seat, is exclusively for the use of Featherblow guests. There is one designated parking space in front of the cottage directly in front of the oil tank storage unit (rectangular brick unit with wooden cover). If you have a second vehicle, that can be parked at the rear of the cottage on the gravel apron (directly behind the patio). We ask guests not to park 2 cars in front of the cottage as this can cause tension with the neighbours. One of us is always available either by phone or email. In the event that we are both away, we will have a family member available to help with any enquiries. Just a few minutes drive from the incredible cove and beach at Beadnell - perfect for kayaking, swimming and all water sports - which stretches South to the National Trust-owned historic fishing village of Newton-by-the-sea. Short drives North to the charming village of Seahouses and Bamburgh (with its mighty castle), and South to the vilage of Craster (home of the famous kippers!), from where a short pictureseque walk will take you to Dunstanburgh Castle (voted one of the 10 best walks in the U.K by The Guardian). For a taste of the local fayre, head to the Jolly Fisherman pub in Craster for a crab sandwich or something more exotic! Also just up the road on the hill at Swinhoe is a boutique BOX Pizza cabin serving artisanal wood fired pizzas with fabulous views of the countryside - just perfect for a relaxing al fresco evening, with a glass of wine to watch the sun set. Featherblow has been a family holiday home for 10 years, and was carefully purchased by us to offer as a holiday cottage in 2020. After a sympathetic renovation, and upgrade of interior decor, the cottage is presented in immaculate condition, with no wear and tear usually associated with holiday lets. We only own two properties, and treat them with the utmost love and care. When we travel, we expect the best for ourselves - and as hosts we aspire to provide the best for our guests. Ours is not so much a commercial enterprise, as it is a labour of love. We are doing what we enjoy, and hope you will enjoy your experience with us... Lisa & John
