Our house is near the cathedral city of Coutances in Normandy, close to the top tourist sights as well as beautiful beaches. It is an ideal base to visit Le Mont St Michel, Bayeux and the D-Day beaches. La Haye is an hour from the ferry ports of Caen and Cherboug, which are served by Brittany Ferries from Portsmouth and Poole. Many guests use Eurotunnel, which is 4 hours from our house. The roads are very good. Stop off at the pretty harbour town of Honfleur on your way to La Haye. Ryanair flies to Dinard airport, which is 90 minutes away. Car hire is cheap and easy at the airport Perfect house to visit the area, less than one hour driving to Mont Saint Michel and to Utah beach, Beach of D-Day, D-Day landing beach, plages du débarquement.
