The Nest is a self-contained luxury holiday annexe to Holly House and is a perfect romantic hideaway. We are situated in an idyllic rural location, surrounded by country lanes and fields with stunning views over the Norfolk countryside. The area is perfect for anyone interested in walking and cycling in the beautiful Waveney Valley. The property dates back to early 19 century and has been restored to a high standard with modern finishes to make your stay comfortable at any time of year. The bedroom has a king-size bed and a large wardrobe with plenty of storage space. The bedroom then leads in a spacious bathroom/shower room. Fresh towels and bedding are supplied. The living room has a wood burning stove (logs supplied), a comfortable sofa and armchair. There is a small kitchen table for enjoying relaxing meals. Part of the kitchen has the original brick floor which is slightly uneven but we feel adds to the charm. Please note the ceiling height of the kitchen is 6' 5½". There is also a small entrance hall where shoes can be stored under the bench and there are hooks for hanging coats. We have a secure outbuilding for anyone wishing to bring their own bikes. Someone will be available to help or assist during each guests stay. There are good local pubs selling Adnams ale along with beer from local micro-breweries, good food and plenty of local history including the 100th Bomb Memorial Museum which is a 15 minute walk from The Nest. The coastal towns of Southwold, Dunwich and Walberswick are only a 40 mins drive, along with Minsmere where you can enjoy bird watching. Also, the beautiful historic market town of Bury St Edmunds and Norwich City are similar distances.
