If you had a grocery delivery it is perfectly feasible to stay without a car as there is a bus service to Uppingham and Oakham as long as you are happy with a ten minute walk into the village. There is no shop in the village. However The Plough does tasty pub food but booking is required. It is an ideal base for cyclists with many popular routes for cyclists. These barns are completely private and look out over open countryside with stunning views of Rutland. The next house is over a mile and a half away and you can escape into your own little haven.
