Chestnut Barns is hidden deep in the Suffolk countryside within a peaceful rural location. The barn provides contemporary, comfortable accommodation and is situated a few miles from local amenities. The Suffolk heritage coast is 15 minutes drive away. The whole barn is newly renovated and is fully equipped with TV, dish washer, washing machine, kettle, microwave oven and toaster. There is Wi-fi however it is worth mentioning that due to the rural location its not the fastest connection! The kitchen and lounge is open plan with south facing veranda. The bedroom is a good size with ample room for a child's cot. Wet room bathroom accommodates a new shower and sink unit, there is also a separate WC with sink alongside the bedroom. For guests staying during the colder months there is underfloor heating throughout and an electric stove. Off road parking is available at the property and guests have their own entrance via a walled courtyard. There is also a lockable outhouse for storing visitors' bikes. We will meet you when you first arrive, show you in and offer as much or as little help as required. The barn, while being completely secluded, forms part of a larger barn which is owner occupied. Guests are welcome to knock on our door for a chat or to ask about local activities. There are many wonderful places to visit close by including St Peters brewery and an award winning family run pub 10 minutes walk down to the village. The property is close to the Suffolk heritage coast and provides the perfect base for exploring the coast and woodlands, including Southwold, Walberswick, Dunwich, Thorpness and Aldburgh. Suffolk coast and heaths are recognised as areas of outstanding natural beauty and have Ramsar Site conservation status. RSPB sites at Minsmere offer beautiful walks through the grassland and woods. The location of Chestnut Barns is rural and a car is essential if you wish to explore and visit local places of interest. The nearest main line train station is at Halesworth 3-4 miles away where you can pick up a taxi . This offers a good connection down to Ipswich with connections to London Liverpool Street. The accommodation is unsuitable for children over the age of 1 and up to 10 years due to ponds within the garden. The barn forms part of a larger barn which is owner occupied.
