This KwaZulu Natal South Coast self-catering, beachfront cottage is a modern oasis for the city weary. Our front garden gate opens onto a narrow strip of indigenous vegetation (admiralty) which is all that separates you from the beautiful blue flag Southport beach. Besides being a very popular KwaZulu Natal South Coast fishing beach, Southport is very conveniently situated in close proximity to many delightful restaurants, golf courses and shopping facilities. Driftwood sleeps 10 people. It has 4 bedrooms with the main bedroom being en suite. A large rain shower room with loo and basin serves bedrooms 2 & 3 and a 3rd bathroom is adjacent to the 4th bedroom. All bathrooms have showers (no baths). Three of the bedrooms have queen size beds and the 4th bedroom has 2 sets of adult sized bunk beds. We like to call this the “kids room” as there is plenty of space for games between the bunk beds. All 4 bedrooms have fans and large cupboards. This beautiful holiday home includes an open-plan lounge with 55” flat screen TV and a DVD with a sound bar supplying surround sound & includes a full package DSTV. The lounge opens up onto a large (45m2) under roof verandah with a 10 seater dining table, sideboard, hostess food warmer and hot tray. The verandah overlooks a sparkling swimming pool (with safety net if required) the beautifull garden with massive Milkwood trees, surfboard shower and braai and the inviting Indian ocean. The verandah is furnished with an outdoor lounge suite and a magnificent 4 metre long hammock. The fully fitted kitchen offers a filter coffee machine, dishwasher, microwave, electric oven and gas cooker and a large fridge and freezer. The entrance hall has a 4 seater breakfast bar (opening through to the kitchen) with a second smaller fridge and freezer for drinks. There is also a large drinks cabinet. Down the passage is a washing machine and tumble dryer for your personal use. The property has recently been renovated and the furnishings and décor are tasteful. For the adventurous, the ever-popular Oribi Gorge beckons some 25 kilometres away, or for the gamblers at heart, the Wild Coast Sun is only 50 km down the nearby highway. We are situated 7 kilometres from the Port Shepstone Country Club and Golf Course (voted the best golf course on the Coast for 4 consecutive years). Avid golfers also have access to a number of the South Coast's other renowned golf courses, all within easy driving distance: Southbroom, San Lameer, Port Edward, Margate Country Club or the Wild Coast Sun.
