Villa Mästerlots

Villa Mästerlots is located 100m from the harbour in the old part of Viken. We rent a private house of 55 m2, located on the yard of the main house. It has a nice private patio with flowers & lemon trees and is equipped with a double bed, single bed, bathroom with shower and a basic but well functioning kitchen. Across the yard is another small house to be used for nice dinners or as an extra bedroom. Kullabygden is a great holiday destination wether you travel alone, with friends or family. This is the perfect get away for a weekend or longer. On the upstairs you sleep in a light bedroom with a comfortable double bed, and an extra single bed. There is a cubboard for your clothes and stuff, and a view out over the the patio. On the downstairs you have a nice and cosy living room which is open access to the kitchenette. From here you have direct access to the patio, where you can dine under the grapevine pergola and relax in sun chairs. We only pass by the patio when accessing our own house and otherwise you have it completely to your self. Across the patio is another small stone house which we call the Orangery and which is also rented during summer months. Guests love to use this for late summer dinners, as an extra living room for the kids boardgame marathons, or as a simple but cosy extra bedroom. We can host two extra guests here if you let us know in advance so that we can sort out extra beds. You have your own private bathroom with a shower. During high season we mainly rent out full weeks with check in on Sundays at 15.00 and Checkout on Sundays at 11.00. During June, we might offer some flexibility to this so should you have a certain whish then please just drop us a note and we see what we can do. We are two people hosting this place, Ingela who lives in the main house, and Isabelle who is the daughter in the family. Interactions via the airbnb site is mainly handled by Isabelle, and check in on the spot by Ingela. If you want tip on what to do/ where to go during our stay with us, we are both happy to share our favourite places with you. Our house is located in the old part of the village, in a narrow street with great ambiance. The house is from the 1920s and many of the houses in the neighbourhood date back even further. When you stay with us you are less than 100 meters away from your morning swim and right by the harbour where you can choose to dine in any of the three restaurants. Within 5-10 minutes stroll you find the bakery of the village and a food store in case you want to enjoy your food at home. For golfers we recommend the seaside golf course of Viken, one of the oldest in Sweden, which can be reached 5 min away by car or bus. For hikers you are just on the route "skåne leden" which runs through the region, many pars along the coast, and offers spectacular views and great villages. If you arrive with your car there are free public parking slots within 50 meters from the house. The village is also well connected with the bus line, with the closest stop 10 minutes walk from the house. Your reach Helsingborg in 20 minutes, and from there you have another hour in case you want to go to Copenhagen with the train for a day. Our best tip though, is to stay on the half island where Viken is located and drive around among the many cute villages located within 30 minutes from your stay. Here you are just by the sea, in the middle of the country side, an on top of that you have plenty of nice places to eat, shop and explore. In case you need bikes, this can be sorted. Just let us know a bit in advance. If you do not want to clean the place your self, the service can be offered for 500 SEK. Please let us know in advance. In case you would want us to load your fridge with the first breakfast don´t hesitate to let us know and we can offer that service for an additional fee.
