The room has an ensuite shower room, a double bed, a television and a desk. Guests have full use of the open plan living area, dining area and kitchen which includes induction hob, eye level oven, combination microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. A driveway is available for parking. The town centre is 1 mile away (a scenic 20 minute walk) and the racecourse is 3 miles. We are a 5 minute taxi ride from the train station (or a 30 minute walk). There is a local pub which serves food just a 10 minute walk from us. We have lived in Newmarket for around 40 years, so we have extensive knowledge of restaurants shops and other facilities and events in both Newmarket and nearby Cambridge and Bury St Edmunds. Newmarket is a thriving market town and the headquarters of horse-racing. You can enjoy the glamour and glitz of the Guineas Festival and Ladies' Day as well as many other events. Our home is situated on the outskirts of the town but still only five minutes away by car and overlooks some of Newmarket's picturesque paddocks and heathland. We are a 3 minute drive from the train station and 5 minutes from the bus station in the town centre. During the racing season free bus transport is available There is a free shuttle bus from the town centre to the racecourse on race days or we can transport you directly to the racecourse at a cost of £8.
