FLOAT

Float - Schweben - Flotter - Drijven - Flotar.... A stay ON the water. FLOAT is our second waterfront cottage, and has proven to be a great success! We opened Float in July 2019, and have hosted many lovely guests. Looking forward to 2020! Float may be booked together with Waterfront for a total of 6 guests. Towels and bed linens are included in the cleaning fee. All you need is your toothbrush! This cottage is for boat lovers! Float lies ON the water. Just like boats, it is dependent on the Lord of the Lake and the Weather Gods. When the weather is calm, Float is very still, but when the wind and waves are up, the cottage responds like any other moored vessel - rocking and rolling. So, If you are at all prone to motion sickness, book a stay on land in our other cottage Waterfront. In addition to the indoor kitchen area, we have just added an extra outdoor kitchen for the dock that Float will be sharing with the host family. It is used for meal prep. and washing up. It is also where Float gets its water. See you there! If you love being close to nature, this is the place for you! In addition to being on the water, the property adjoins the woods, and there are trails that go for miles! Wildlife is plentiful, berry and mushroom picking in the fall. We are close to Drottningholm and Birka, the Viking island. Available for your use: canoe, body boards, yoga mats, and more. Fishing boat, sauna, and bikes may be rented. We hope you will have a wonderful stay, and we will accommodate your needs as much as we can. Not for romantic couples... If you are looking for a honeymoon atmosphere, there are more private listings out there. The shared dock and lawn area is used a lot during the summer. When school is in session it is much quieter. We have two lovely, LARGE dogs. A quiet residential neighbourhood, very close to nature. There is a larger family beach right around the bend, and lots of birdlife and even beavers around the lake. We are about 30 k outside of Stockholm (± 20 miles). The bus stop is 200 meters away. The bus service may be found on line. www dot SL dot se. There is a parking space for one car. Float is a one-room cottage for two. There is a kitchenette, and you can prepare meals if you like. The shower and toilet are just up the hill in the main house. Also, there is mosquito netting for insects.
