Bathroom has WC, shower and basin, toiletries & towels. We offer a guest's lounge with comfortable sofa and arm chair, Freeview TV, books and games. Free Wi-Fi is available. This may be slow at times due to our rural location. Breakfast is served at the large dining room table and every room has wonderful rural views. Guests are welcome to stroll in the half acre garden and say hello to our chickens. We have recently been adopted by two feral kittens – they are now house-trained but still very timid, so you probably won’t see them! We also offer the Cream Bedroom (with an en-suite bathroom). Please see our other listing. Nearby attractions include Banham Zoo, Snetterton Circuit, Mid Norfolk Railway, St George’s Whisky Distillery, Diss Golf Club, Knettishall Heath Country Park, Redgrave & Lopham Fen, Stonham Barns & Owl Sanctuary, Henry Watson Pottery, Flixton Air Museum, Fersfield Airfield (from where Joseph Kennedy flew as part of the ill-fated Operation Aphrodite), Old Buckenham Airfield (another of the many nearby ex-USAAF airfields, from where James Stewart and Walter Matthau flew), Gressenhall Rural Life Museum, Thetford Priory, Dad’s Army Museum and Burrell Traction Engine Museum. We are surrounded by an extensive network of local footpaths and we are also happy to meet walkers from Peddars Way, Angles Way & Boudicca Way long distance footpaths or the train at either Diss or Thetford stations. We offer brochures and personal knowledge of local tourist attractions and lovely pubs serving excellent food. There is extremely limited public transport from the village. Free wi-fi is available but this may be very slow due to our rural location.
