Excellent location in the heart of Gainsborough town centre. A traditional and friendly pub offering five economy letting rooms at reasonable prices, ideal for an overnight stay or longer-term bookings. A larger room with two single beds, including a TV, sink and tea and coffee making facilities. Access to a shared bathroom on the same floor. A guest hairdryer, iron/ironing board, and travel cot are all available to use on request. **Please note that due to the Covid-19 Secure Guidelines, this room will now have exclusive use of the bath tub/shower in the main shared bathroom, as well as shared use of the toilet in the same bathroom (shared with only one other room). Please enquire if you have any questions or concerns.** NOTE: Please note that this room (Room 1) is closer to the main bar area and therefore may be less quiet when the bar is busy, typically on Friday and Saturday nights. Note that the pub is open till midnight on Sunday-Thursday and 1am on Friday and Saturday, and typically trades until close on Friday and Saturday nights. However, entertainment has been suspended for the moment in order to comply with Covid-19 Secure Guidelines, therefore this room may be quieter than usual. The Horse & Jockey is well known for its friendly atmosphere and is a favourite amongst the locals. The pub manager, Nikki, and the rest of the staff, are sure to make you feel at home and can help you with anything you may need. Gainsborough is a small market town in north-west Lincolnshire, 18 miles from Lincoln. The town is on the River Trent and dates back to medieval times, appearing in the Domesday Book as 'Gainesburg' and one of the capital cities of Mercia during the Anglo-Saxon period. It was also once the most inland port in England, being 55 miles from the North Sea. The Horse & Jockey is ideally located in the town centre, near to Marshall's Yard shopping centre, and all local restaurants and amenities.
