Camping La Bretonnière is a beautiful four-star campsite in Vendée. It is known as France’s flower campsite because of its lovely trees and flowers. Here, you experience the ultimate sense of freedom. You can cycle for miles on the multitude of bicycle trails, you can take a boat through the maze of narrow waterways running through the Marais Poitevin marshlands, or taste the maritime atmosphere in Les Sables d’Ollone. La Bretonnière is the city where each year the Vendée Globe sailboat race is organised. The tents can accommodate a maximum of six persons and have a lot of space around them. They are indicated on the map by numbers 61, 62 and 63. A side-tent is allowed, but if you intend to bring one with you, you are kindly requested to inform the reception beforehand. More about the campsite At La Bretonnière there is always something to do. You can go to the many sports fields, book a massage, borrow a book in the library, or throw out your fishing rod at the edge of the pond among the campsite’s colourful flowers and plants. Would you like to go for a bite to eat? At the campsite, there is a snack bar where you can order snacks and pizzas. In addition, there is a small shop for your daily necessities. Each day, you can also get fresh buns and croissants here. Villatents at Campsite La Bretonnière This campsite has three brand-new Villatents Luxe with sanitary XL. The tents can accommodate a maximum of six persons and have a lot of space around them. They are indicated on the map by numbers 61, 62 and 63 on the map. A side-tent is allowed, but if you intend to bring one with you, you are kindly requested to inform the reception beforehand. Region La Bretonnière is located in Vendée, a region where there is lots to do. At only 2 kilometres from the campsite, you can horse ride, and at 15 kilometres you can dive, surf, and (beach) sail. We can also recommend the fishing harbour of Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie at 17 kilometres from the campsite, lake Le Jaunay, which is only 3 kilometres away, and the Passage du Gois (at a distance of 55 kilometres from the campsite), which leads to the island of Noirmoutier. As the sea withdraws, you can drive your car through the resulting passage way. Swimming pool and beach The campsite has two swimming pools with retractable roofs, and of which one is heated. Children can also enjoy themselves at a separate playing area, and there are plenty of lounge beds placed all around the pool. Moreover, 12 kilometres from the campsite there is a beach, and 15 kilometres away, there is a river. So you see, there are plenty of possibilities here for having water fun! Activities and entertainment During the high season, the entertainment team organises a broad spectrum of activities for children and teenagers. In the play and activities room, where a large part of the activities take place, your children will make friends in no time. Adults can participate in, for example, aqua gymnastics and Zumba.
