Fordingbridge is a small town, often known as the Gateway to the New Forest, and is home to a charming high street with independent shops, including a local ice cream shop and bakeries. The house is in the perfect location to access road links to some of the most beautiful areas in the country. This is an ideal location for those wanting either an active family holiday or a quiet getaway to explore the countryside. No smoking or pets allowed. The house sleeps 5 with 2 double bedrooms and a single bedroom. Bedroom 1 & 2 come with spacious wardrobes and bedroom 3 includes a cabin bed and space for hanging on the wall. It has one upstairs bathroom with a toilet, bath/ electric shower and one toilet downstairs. A shaver point is in the upstairs bathroom. The kitchen has a fan oven, gas hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, dishwasher, utensils and fridge-freezer. The kitchen is open plan into the dining room which has a dining table (seats 6 people). The living room is a welcoming space to relax, with 2 sofas, an armchair, a TV and DVD player. The house is in a used but well maintained condition. The courtyard garden has a 2 chair bistro set. The front of the house looks upon a stream which feeds the river Avon. Please be aware that the windows are in need of some TLC and external painting. However, they are fully functional and should not affect your stay in any way. It is something we hope to do soon. Towels are provided but please bring beach/swimming towels. Please let us know if you need a travel cot and high chair upon booking. The bedding/linen will not be provided. To the left of the house there is a car port with space for one car . If additional cars are needed the nearby carpark (Fordingbridge Car park- SP6 1AQ) offers long stay paid parking. Free on street parking may be available on local streets too. The property is: 2 minute walk from Fordingbridge Regal Cinema and the high street, Co -Op supermarket, independent shops and restaurants Within walking distance from local pubs such as The George, which sits directly on the river Avon and the iconic arched bridge 5 minute walk to the popular Recreation Ground alongside the River Avon with a large play park for children and opportunities to feed the ducks! 5 minute drive from Sandy Balls Resort which has a swimming pool that allows public access 5 minute drive from the beautiful New Forest National Park 10 minute drive from New forest Water Park 30 minute drive from Paultons Park and Peppa Pig World 40 minute drive from Stonehenge 25 minute drive from Cathedral City of Salisbury 15 minute drive to Ringwood Market Town 30 minute drive to Bournemouth beaches A good location for day trips to Winchester, Poole, Beaulieu Motor Museum, Longleat Safari Park and Monkey World The stop for the New Forest hop on hop off tour bus is a 10 minute walk down the road with group tickets available (5 people for £42)
