Delightful two bed cottage, Leadenham, Lincoln
Fully furnished, well equipped 2 bedroom cottage in peaceful location with stunning views. Very comfortable, ideal for long term business or shorter term pleasure stays. Services tailored to suit. Leadenham village has good amenities inc convenience store, garage, pub/restaurant, farm shop, and tea rooms. We live next door and can offer local knowledge and advice. Easy access to RAF Waddington, Cranwell, and Digby, and around 11 miles from Lincoln, Newark, Sleaford, and Grantham. A1 is 8 miles. The cottage was formerly the Waiting Room for Leadenham Railway Station, and now offers spacious, quiet, and relaxing accommodation over two floors. The lounge has a large TV and hifi and there is a selection of DVDs and CDs for your entertainment. Both bedrooms also have TVs. The kitchen is fully equipped with washing machine, oven, hob, grill, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle, and crockery, cutlery, and cooking pans and utensils. When the weather is good, you are welcome to relax on the patio and watch the fish in the large pond or just enjoy the sun. Off road parking for one car is available, with a separate entrance via a courtyard. We are usually available to help guests settle in and find their way around the area. We have maps, and good local knowledge. Our approach is to let guests decide how much interaction they (Website hidden by Airbnb) can range from none at all to sitting down sharing a beer and wine, and a chat. Leadenham is a delightful village within the Lincolnshire Cliffe area of outstanding natural beauty with excellent facilities and good connections. Within 15 to 20 minutes, you can be in Lincoln, Newark, Grantham, and Sleaford and enjoy these historic cities and towns. Very close to major RAF facilities and the famous antique fairs and other events held at the Newark Show ground. The Fulbeck kart track is just 3 miles away. Leadenham is at the junction of the A17 and A607. A regular bus service runs to Lincoln and Grantham. Trains from Newark and Grantham get you to London in an hour or so, and to Edinburgh in two hours. Lincoln is a fabulous place to visit with its historic cathedral and castle, theatres, waterside area, and excellent shopping facilities including the famous Bailgate within the cathedral quarter which also has lots of great restaurants and bars. Newark is a lovely town on the River Trent with great amenities including a new Civil War museum and interesting walks along the Trent. Further afield are the Lincolnshire coast with resorts and wildlife sanctuaries, while Sherwood Forest and Clumber Park are within an hours drive. Locally there are some lovely walks, and we also have two bikes available to enjoy the quiet lanes. There is a convenience store about 200m away which is open between 6am and 9pm every day. You can get most things there but for more choice there is a supermarket, baker, and butcher in Navenby about three miles towards Lincoln. Leadenham has a pub and restaurant - The George - which is open daily, as well as a farm shop and tea room. We will leave a welcome pack in the cottage for all guests which gives the basics of tea, coffee, milk, breads, butter, jam, and cereals so no need to panic over the first breakfast!
