Romantic cottage in Le Bec Hellouin - abbey views.

A lovely retreat for a romantic break in Normandy. Our weekend home for 12 years. Well equipped for two guests and within moments of the Abbey, restaurants and the "voie verte". Great for cycling, riding, walking or just relaxing (maybe with an apple based drink?) Known locally as "La Maison des Poupées" because it is cute and although plenty big enough for two people to stay and invite friends, some people were amused to see a 6' 9" giant living there so happily. We fell in love with our Dolls' House at first sight and hope you will too You will have this detached cottage and it's garden to yourselves We now live in the village and are only five minutes away if you need anything. Otherwise we will welcome you then leave you to enjoy your visit Le Bec Hellouin is now classed as One of the Most Beautiful Villages in France. It has a wonderful spirit and a long history of spiritual life associated with the Abbey, which was founded in the 11th century and connections with William the Conqueror. It is also set in a beautiful valley with woodland walks and a well constructed cycle route which runs for 42kms to Evreux. Getting around really requires a car but the Evreux to Honfleur bus route passes through the village The nearest mainline station is at Bernay (Paris is 1.5 hours by train from there)
