Pendra Loweth is an award-winning garden village nestled in a picturesque wooded valley just outside of Falmouth. There are tennis courts, a playground, gym and splash pool (currently the pool and gym are closed due to COVID) as well as a café/bar, open Easter to October. Riverstones is a superb choice for a family holiday or a romantic couples getaway, with an open plan layout on the ground floor, three comfortable bedrooms and a sun trap of a patio. Everything in the cottage is set up with comfort and convenience in mind. The beautiful kitchen, brand new for the 2020 season, was equipped by a cooking enthusiast, so you will be sure to find everything you need. There’s a dishwasher and a washer-dryer, smart TV and DVD player, comfortable beds, bath with power shower and fluffy white towels. A cot, high chair and stairgate are provided. There's superfast fibre-optic broadband to ensure you can keep up with work or your children can keep up with their friends. The village is surrounded by stunning woodland walks and the valley is bisected by a beautiful stream that burbles down towards Maenporth. A twenty-minute walk down the tranquil valley from Pendra Loweth will bring you to the golden sands of Maenporth Beach where you will find a superb beach cafe and the fabulous Cove Restaurant which has just been acquired by Michael Caines. Falmouth is a short drive away and here you can enjoy the wealth of fine restaurants and thriving pubs that this vibrant town has to offer. Explore the town from Prince of Wales Pier and Custom House Quay to Events Square, where the Falmouth Oyster Festival and the shore-side activities for Falmouth Week are based, and the National Maritime Museum. There are regular ferries from the Prince of Wales Pier and Custom House Quay that are well worth a day trip, with destinations such as the beautiful St Mawes and the Roseland Peninsula or further up the River Fal to Trelissick Gardens, Malpas or Truro. Alternatively, you can explore The Lizard and find the majestic lighthouse at England's most southerly headland and the stunning Kynance Cove or head for the quiet of the Helford River and the inspiration for Daphne Du Maurier's Frenchmans Creek, plus the beautiful Glendurgan and Trebah gardens that both lead down to the riverside. Accommodation Ground Floor: Small entrance porch to the front door, entrance hall with space for coats and shoes, WC with hand basin, Open plan kitchen/living room and diner. The kitchen has fully fitted units and appliances, there are comfortable sofas, dining table and chairs, Smart TV with catch up, French doors leading to the private terrace: First Floor: The stairs open onto a landing with doors to; Master bedroom with 4'6" bed and storage. Second double bedroom with 4'6" bed and storage. Twin bedroom with 3' beds and storage. Family bathroom with shower over the bath, WC and hand basin. Exterior: There is a designated parking space 10m from the property and other visitors' spaces if required in the communal parking area. There is a private patio with picnic table and benches. There are also communal gardens throughout the village with areas laid to lawn and plenty of woodland walks. Facilities & Services There is electric heating throughout with on-demand radiators downstairs and night storage heaters on the first floor. The kitchen has a range of cupboards & worktops. There are an electric oven and hob, a microwave, toaster, kettle, combined fridge and freezer. The sitting room has a digital Smart TV with catch up. There are a travel cot and highchair available on request. There is a washer drier and separate communal laundry facilities on site. There is unlimited broadband WiFi. Miscellaneous Electricity, heating, bed linen and towels are included but you will need to provide your own beach / pool towels. There is parking available for 1 car in a designated parking slot outside the property and a second in the communal parking area if required. Regrettably, there is no smoking and dogs are not accepted at Riverstones. General Booking Information Arrival / Departure is normally a Saturday. Short breaks are available during quieter periods. £250 pre-authorised to your credit or debit card as a security deposit is required.
