First floor space consisting of the whole top floor of a dorma bungalow, all your own private space up one simple flight of stairs. Includes a double bedroom with velux window with a separate tv lounge with velux window. Private shower room W.c. on the same floor. Near Burford, gateway to the Cotswolds, 23 miles from Oxford City, easy bus routes into the city and nearby Witney. Close to the famous Brize Norton air base. 30 miles from Cheltenham, 16 miles to Blenheim Palace and grounds. First floor space comprises of main entrance to bungalow shared with owner, once you go up one flight of stairs the whole of the first floor is yours to use. The small landing at the top holds a mini fridge with tea and coffe making facilities, no food prep areas but we have added a microwave for simple heating of food. There is an office desk to use with comfortable chair and internet connection. There is a tray with tea, coffee and cereal. The Tv lounge has a cosy sofa and tub chair with Tv and Virgin tv available, with sky sports and movies etc. Between the 2 rooms there are 2 small wardrobes with hanging space, there are a couple of small drawers in the bedroom. We do have 2 cats which roam about so if you don't like cats or have an allergy it's perhaps not the place for you. I'm happy for them to be shoo away but they are friendly and like company. There is always a free parking space on the drive. If necessary we can accommodate no contact with owner by use of key box to avoid any covid concerns I live at the address downstairs so I will be about to greet you and answer any initial questions you may have, apart from cooking facilities which there is no access to, you are fairly self sufficient but if you do need anything I can help with, I'll try my best to help. Carterton has in recent years had 2 new little bars, the siege of Orleans which is a quirky little friendly place with craft beers and real ales, it also has a gin bar upstairs. Grapes and Tomatoes is a wine/gin bar. In addition there is a new little Italian Restaurant, a curry house and 3 supermarkets, along with a number of smaller shops. Nearby Witney (6miles) has more shops bars and restaurants on offer. The Cotswold wildlife park is 5 minutes in the car. Burford is one straight Road and a roundabout away so that's very easy, there is a small bus that runs just past the house but it doesn't run late at night. There is a good bus route to Oxford City. The bus stops are about 150 metres away and run approx every 15 minutes. Shilton village is a pleasant stroll away with a cute ford and village pub. Oxfordshire is full of wonderful walks dotted all around. I am qualified in infection control and all rooms and areas will be disinfected between guests
