Berkshire Getaway Family Home on 7 acrs near Lake

Welcome to our light-filled secluded wonderland home in the Berkshires! Surrounded by 7 acres of woods and an expansive grounds with perennial gardens, our cabin home is perched on a hill with full privacy & views. A true serene getaway with amenities for a relaxing vacation. Our 4 bedroom family friendly house is on a private dirt road, 10min stroll to our local lake. Close to Great Barrington, Kripalu, Monterey, Tanglewood, Lee, stores and restaurants. Our charming, eclectic and European style decorated 4 bedroom country cabin home has an open kitchen and light filled living room area connected to an expansive wrap-around porch, 2 cozy bedrooms upstairs with separate bathroom, 1 additional bedroom and bathroom on main floor and a separate den/TV area downstairs with additional sleeping accommodations. It is a warm, hearty, and cozy cabin home ideal for families with children or large groups looking for a vacation experience in the Berkshires surrounded by nature. The perfect getaway, secluded and private surrounded by beautiful woods and gardens, comfortable with the essential amenities and a short driving distance to all the Berkshires has to offer. Our home provides swimming, fishing(bring your own poles) and boat access to our local lake which is 10 minutes walk/ 3 min drive from the house. You have access to our entire home. Since this is our family home, we do have personal items around. We've put locks on closets and drawers that are off limits, so if you can open it, you're allowed to access it! Feel free to use our library and enjoy the books, and please put them back before you leave. Please use our canoe/kayak, fishing and other boat gear with appropriate safety precautions. Any items moved during your stay we would appreciate if you could return to its proper place. And if anything is damaged during your stay please inform us ASAP so we can deal with it promptly. Occasionally, our guest house barn set in the back of the property is occupied. Please inquire when booking if this is relevant to your stay. If it is occupied we give you full privacy, and cars are parked at the bottom of the driveway. If you need anything during your stay you can contact Alex anytime. We have a separate barn studio located in the back of the property that is in use occasionally throughout the year. We will let you know if we are there and give you full privacy if so. The Berkshires! Enjoy woodland walks, summer swims, cultural outings, and all the Berkshires has to offer! Close to Monterey, Great Barrington, Lee, Tyringham, Lenox, Becket & Stockbridge. Enjoy Tanglewood, Jacob's Pillow, Kripalu, Stockbridge Bowl, Otis Reservoir, the Appalachian Trail and wonderful local hikes, rivers, and lakes! We are 3 minutes to our lake. 10 minutes to Monterey, Otis, Otis Ridge, Otis Reservoir, Tyringham and the Appalachian Trail. 15 minutes to Great Barrington, & Butternut Ski Mountain! Close to Tanglewood, Jacob's Pillow, Kripalu, Stockbridge Bowl & Dreamaway Lodge. Car needed. 4 Wheel drive highly recommended. The roads in the Berkshires can get icy and muddy! Please use (Hidden by Airbnb) Maps for GPS and input address prior to leaving Great Barrington as service is limited in the Berkshires! IMPORTANT NOTE: 1) If staying during winter or rainy seasons, you must have 4WD OR AWD - and preferably snow tires, and be prepared to drive in rough terrain and steep driveway. Many of the roads in the Berkshires are dirt roads and you must be comfortable driving on them. The winter conditions are snowy and icy, and the roads can get icy and slushy in winter and rainy months. 2) Occasionally, our guest house barn set in the back of the property is occupied. Please inquire when booking if this is relevant to your stay. If it is occupied we give you full privacy, and cars are parked at the bottom of the driveway. 3) Pets allowed on case by case basis. Please reach out to us if you are planning on bringing your furry family member or pet, we allow pets on a case by case basis. We love animals, and have had them in our family our whole lives. They will love the outdoors and our expansive grounds. If we give the go ahead, please follow the house rules with your pets and an additional pet cleaning charge will apply. Please have your animals with you at all times. Keep in mind that a couple neighbors on our private road have dogs. As well, please keep pets on 1st and 2nd floors - in rooms that do not have carpets. Bedrooms on the top floor are pet free please (they have wall to wall carpet). Please keep them off the all furniture. In the event of any damage to the house, please contact us immediately. ( If any pets are not disclosed prior to booking, there will be a $100 fee + additional cleaning + the pet will have to be removed at once.)Thank you!
