Ideal place for an out of town retreat containing everything you might need in a house to make you comfortable. Standing inside a small Slovak village, this house is completely renovated on the inside with modern kitchen, bathroom and stylish comfy interior. Ideal location for exploring historical sites or Slovakian outdoors. This is a cute, completely renovated house set right in the middle of Slovakia with an easy access to the great Slovakian outdoors as well as historical sites. The house looks a bit shabby from the outside, but please don't get fooled as it's been completely renovated inside. It's family friendly and also contains games, toys and books in different languages to keep you and your kids occupied should you want to stay indoors. Feel free to explore what's inside the book shelves. The village is in an 'off the beaten track location', so chances are that all places you'll visit will be peaceful, feel untouched with 100% authenticity. There is a number of castles (ruins as well as restored) in a relatively close proximity ideal for half day or full day trips. The village itself has got some beautiful views and nice walking tracks so if you are a countryside lover, this place is an ideal base for you. Personally, I really enjoy going for walks and hikes in the area as there are some beautiful views from the hills around and you typically find absolute tranquillity. If you've never been to Slovakia before and want to explore the country, the house is in a good location for day trips to the countryside and small towns. If you need any tips, please don't hesitate to ask! To make the most out of your stay, ideally you want to have a car to move around as the buses aren't very frequent. There are no restaurants immediately in the village, however the village has a couple of stores and there are places to eat in the range of about 8kms. If you like cooking, the house has got everything you need including utensils, electric stove and a fridge. You can also have a camp fire outside in the garden if you like. There is a self check-in and self- check out facility using a pin code to access your key to make it easy for you to arrive and leave whenever it suits you. The best part about the house in Malinec is it's tranquil location away from the general hustle and bustle. Ideal for a retreat and walks around the countryside. There is also a large dam in the village but swimming is not allowed there. However, there are a few swimming (dam/lakes/pools) options close by and during winter, the closest skiing lift is only about 10kms away. THINGS TO DO IN THE AREA: Hiking Playing Tennis (free tennis court in the village) Swimming in the lake Skiing (in winter) Castle/Ruin sites The option of buying home made cheese/meat/eggs from the locals and participating in local festivities There are a few buses from Poltar and Lucenec but to be honest with you, the best is to drive for a complete comfort. Ideal for 2-4 people but can fit up to 6 people comfortably as the rooms are huge. Suitable for a family holiday too.
