Idyllic Bell Tent Campsite - 6 Large Bell Tents

"Chalke Valley Camping" is a small idyllic campsite (six large furnished bell tents) in the beautiful Wiltshire Chalke Valley. Ideal for groups of friends and families. The tents can sleep up to 20 - but additional tents can be pitched - please contact us first. Our six fantastic canvas Bell Tents can comfortably sleep up to 4 people, perfect for groups of friends, families, or couples who want that extra bit of space! They are the 5m in diameter with 4 mosquito proof windows. On a hot day the sides can be rolled up, and allow a cooling breeze through the tent. The double doors can be opened with or without the mosquito net. Evenings can be enjoyed candlelit with a glass of wine, looking out towards the beautiful view. Each tent has a double mattress bed and two single futons (bedding not included for futons), a few good books, some playing cards, a cafetiere and a few cooking essentials and a firepit for barbecuing. The entire site will be yours: Six bell tents, two proper flushing loos, 2 gas showers, a pole barn with kitchen area and double gas hob, pots and pans etc. We will be there to welcome you, and on hand if you need anything, but will generally leave you alone on the site. We will be happy to welcome you to the site and show you around - as well as recommend places to visit. We provide a folder with recommendations for pubs, shops, and places to visit. London is approximately 100 miles. The coast is less than an hour's drive away. There is a train station in Salisbury (12 miles away), and a bus route from Salisbury to the village of Bowerchalke. We regret that as much as we love dogs, we do not allow them as we have livestock. As the campsite is on a working farm, there may be occasional farming operations carried out in the surrounding fields (livestock and arable). There is no electricity or WiFi on site.
