Located in a beautiful surrounding of the National Park Slovak Paradise, this place offers plenty of opportunities for sports, outdoor activities and relax . It can comfortably sleep 6 to 8 people (families or smaller groups). It is simple yet comfortable and offers everything one might seek to escape a busy city life. The hut is very simple (no TV, wi-fi connection) but clean and comfortable. All bed linen and towels are provided. You can use the whole house as you like apart from the little room upstairs that is used as a storage room. Feel free to use any dry food, tea or coffee that you find in the kitchen. In case of any problems, contact the manager (details provided when your reservation is confirmed). The area offers numerous opportunities for walking, hiking or cycling. The nat. park Slovak Paradise (Slovensky raj) is particularly known for its gorges, canyons and waterfalls, and challenging trails that are often equipped with ladders, chains and bridges. The most popular routes are: canyon Velky Sokol, canyon Sucha Bela, the cliffs of Tomasovsky vyhlad, canyon Prielom Hornadu, ravine Zejmarska roklina, Kláštorisko with ruins of the Carthusian monastery. There are also some of the largest and most beautiful caves - Dobsinska ladova jaskyna (Dobsinska Ice Cave), Demanovska jaskyna Slobody (Demanovska Cave of Liberty), Ochtinska Aragonitova Jaskyna (Ochtinska Aragonite Cave), Belianska jaskyna (Belianska cave). Swimming, tennis, squash, wellness, fitness centre, skateboarding, rollerskating, mini golf are all available in a nearby town of Spisska Nova Ves. Historical monuments in the area: Spisska Nova Ves, Levoca, Spissky Hrad (Spis Castle), Spisske Podhradie, Kezmarok, Betliar (Chateau). Restaurants: Novakova chata - 300m, Penzion Lesnica (Cingov) - 5km Nearest kids playground: Novakova chata - 300m (climbing wall + equipment for hire) Trains: Smizany: 4.2km, Spisska Nova Ves: 7km Bus: Smizany - Masa: 2.9km Tap water - it is fine for everyday use (washing/shower/dishes etc.) but not drinking (currently experiencing a small problem with our water well). Use bottled water for direct drinking please.
