In the old days Zidanice were used to store wine and as a place where vineyard master could host his closest friends. Every vineyard cottage has to have a wine cellar and cottage Janko & Metka is no different. All guests receive the keys of the cellar and can taste our local wines during their stay. We greet every guest with our own wine, local meat products and other homemade specialties. Vineyard Cottage Janko & Metka is located on quiet and peaceful vineyard hill above Otočec. Cottage is surrounded by vineyards and other vineyard cottages with a marvellous view on surrounding hills and Krka river valley. Dolenjska region is characterised by hills, scattered vineyards, numerous vineyard cottages, castles and churches, the Krka River, rich archaeological sites, quality thermal spas and the European speciality wine Cvicek. Suplement for pets: 20,00 EUR pet/stay Vineyard cottage is a perfect starting point for hiking or cycling trips. We can provide bicycles if you wish to explore the surrounding hills of Dolenjska. Challenge your friends to a game of petanque on the court behind the cottage or play darts in the cellar. You can also visit the nearby Thermal Spa Centre in Šmarješke Toplice or golf course in Otočec. Visit us in autumn and help us during grape harvest season.
