Our so called "Mühlehäusle" is a cozy detached timbered house in the middle of a huge garden that we renovated with lots of love over the last years. Situated at the village border of Altingen, next to the former flour mill, this pleasant hideout, welcomes you on 2 floors with overall 120 square meters, and offers all you need for a true feel-good atmosphere. In the 1st floor you find a cozy living room with a convertible sofa and the separated dining room. From here you can access the big south-facing balcony and enjoy the amazing view over the extensive garden. Next to the dining room is the spacious kitchen, with a little breakfast corner and a second access to the balcony. The new and fully quipped kitchen offers a stove, an oven, a dishwasher and a fridge with an icebox. Also on the 1st floor you find a small guest toilet. A wooden staircase leads you to the top floor with its spacious living and sleeping area. Right next to the big and cozy double bed, is an antique commode and roomy wardrobe to accommodate your things. In the rear part of the top floor you also find a small desk and reading corner as well as friendly and bright bathroom, with a shower and bathtub. Another staircase leads you to the roof floor. This one is actually less a separate floor, but an open lounge space that was constructed on top of the timber frames. It's probably the most convenient place to hangout and relax. The 120 square meters apartment can be accessed via a separate external staircase. During your stay you can park your car (or camper) on the provided parking stop just next to the house. Your are also welcome to relax in the spacious garden just behind the apartment. During your stay, we are happy to answer your questions and help you out wherever needed. We will be pleased to you show you around on the site of the former flour mill or introduce you to the little sheep breeding on the adjoining meadow. Besides that we look forward to providing you tips and recommendations on what to do and discover in Ammerbuch, Tübingen and the surrounding area. The Mühlehäusle is an ideal location for a variety of activities in our region. The nearby Schönbuch - natur (Website hidden by Airbnb) - offers beautiful hikes up to the university town Tübingen - (Website hidden by Airbnb) with its charming flair and the associated monastery Bebenhausen - klos (Website hidden by Airbnb) Also the half-timbered town Herrenberg with the historical far away visible collegiate church and the again established beautiful book tower, which permits a panorama view over the region up to Stuttgart, offers itself as a trip goal in the closer environment. Both the biosphere area Schwäbische Alb - s (Website hidden by Airbnb) - with the castle Hohenzollern and the castle Lichtenstein as well as the Black Forest - biosphere area (Website hidden by Airbnb) - with its many sights are easily accessible destinations. To relax after strenuous hikes or on rainy days, the Mineraltherme Böblingen with its attractive sauna area is a tip. The capital Stuttgart is also easy to reach by car or train. In the Häusle we have a lot of information material like books, hiking guides, city maps, restaurant tips, about the individual regions and sights. On request I can also help you with tips and suggestions. The municipality of Ammerbuch-Altingen is situated at the border of the Schönbuch forest with an excellent transport connection to Tübingen (ca. 25min) and Stuttgart (ca. 35min). This makes an ideal starting point for commuters and travelers. The autobahn A81 can be reached within a few minutes only, while the local train station (Ammertalbahn) is just a 10 minute walk from the apartment. Thereby all nearby cities like Böblingen, Sindelfingen or Stuttgart can be reached fast and conveniently. Despite this ideal transport connection, the apartment is located in a calm and green surrounding at the village border of Altingen and next to the stream Ammer. The beautiful timber framework on the outside of the listed building continues further on the inside with the open rooms, the staircases and the gallery. We look forward to welcome families with children. A baby cot can be freely provided. Children over the age of 2 years are considered as additional guests. Please note that due to the open design of the interior, young children should not be left unsupervised. Pets are welcome after prior arrangement.
