The House was built at a time when merchants, monks and peasants walked the cobbled streets outside. It was built in a time when the famous Batalha Monastery was built and was home to some of the Stonemasons who worked there. That same stone was used to build this house. Built in the 1500's, it is one of the few medieval Gothic refurbished stone houses in the area. Our Family has owned it for over 50 years. We strive to preserve its historic integrity and character, while making it as comfortable and cozy as possible. We fully refurbished the entire property recently.
