Maison d'Olenne

This house is located in an idyllic valley, 25 km to the south of Dinant and right on the French border. The cottage stands on a wooded plot of 25,000 square metres. The shallow stream La Houle flows in the garden with few play equipment and a couple of benches. Children can play in the woods or on the large lawns to their hearts’ content. Relax on the cosy relaxing area on the terrace in front of the house and enjoy the mid day sun. The other terrace with gas barbecue is in front of the kitchen at a lower level. During summer, enjoy your meals together on the large garden table in the open air. When the weather is not favourable, have a cosy time together in the kitchen. Evenings are always short while at the fireplace in the cosy living room. A large table in the elegant dining room, next to the living room, suits well for social games. All the bedrooms on the first and second floors have private bathrooms. The TV can be used only to watch DVDs. The cottage is an ideal accommodation for a relaxing holiday. This house is mainly intended for family groups. Other groups may however be permitted subject to the consent of the owner and a possible double payment of the deposit. Groups of people under the age of 30 years are not entertained. This part of the Ardennes is almost untouched and you can spend hours walking and cycling without meeting anyone. The paths through the valley and the woods start right at your doorstep. The road next to the house, for example the Col d'Olenne, is popular among trained mountain bikers. The beautiful French town Givet is 5 km away. The historic buildings, including an impressive fortress on the Meuse are definitely worth a visit. This city has the largest swimming pool in the French Ardennes. There are also plenty of restaurants, shops and supermarkets here.
