The CowByre, farm stay

The CowByre Sleeps 7, 1 double room(Kingsized bed), 1 triple - a bunk and a single bed and sofa bed in living area. All on level access with walk in wet room. The kitchen is newly refurbished for 2020, offering a slimline dishwasher, hob, oven, integrated fridge, integrated freezer, toaster and microwave. There is an on-site laundry room with washer, dryer and ironing facilities. The accommodation has underfloor heating throughout and has shared use of the farmyard outside. We have 3 cottages on site, all advertised on Airbnb. Perfect for individual bookings, families to get together or friends who want to get away together. Communal area Our Cartshed is a communal area it’s a converted Cartshed, it has tiled floor, log burner, WiFi, tables and chairs, tv and sofa. It’s a great space for guests to get together without having to share the living space in your cottage. Very popular with family and friends groups. Monday to Friday, the farm can be quite busy and noisy as well as day to day farm tasks we also have Beyond Boundaries group running activities on site and sharing the farm yard 09:30 - 15:00. Weekend are quite a contract quite and tranquil. Very little happens on a weekend. Guests can use the farmyard, laundry and Cartshed which is an additional space with log burner and seating, tv and bluetooth speaker and Wifi. Great for meeting friends and family if you have booked more than 1 cottage. We live next door to the holiday cottages so are close by should you need us. A beautiful rural location, with streams, moorland walks and cycle routes right on our doorstep. Places of interest are in abundance. The historic town of Whitby just a short train journey or car ride away, Grosmont and Goathland stream line also close by. There are many historic castles to explore in the North Yorkshire moors and a cycle hub with excellent coffee shop is near by too. There is something for everyone. We are just off a main road, Castleton is the nearest village with a small shop, pubs and cafes, just 2 miles away. To get about you can walk, cycle, take the train on the Esk line or drive. The walks and cycle routes are endless. Our cottages are strictly no smoking 🚭 Why not order your shopping to be delivered for your stay.
