Large 5 bedroom home- sleeps 9 -Belton Doncaster

Our large 5 bedroomed family home is set in the peaceful village of Belton just 2 mins drive from the M180. It offers spacious living accommodation with a garden backing onto open fields with many paths to explore the Lincolnshire countryside. It is ideal for a family gathering or business colleagues. It is close to the historic town of Epworth and within walking distance of local pubs and takeaways. Yorkshire Wildlife Park is a short drive away; York and Lincoln are less than an hours drive. Our large detached home provides comfortable accommodation for both small and large groups. It has a very large front drive with space for several cars (6+)and has a large back garden with outside seating available on request. The kitchen has a back door opening onto the paved patio area. There is a TV in the lounge and the dining kitchen is well equipped with crockery, utensils, pots and pans, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, fridge . Tea and coffee are provided and guests may also help themselves to any of the herbs & spices which left in the cupboards. There is a utility room with a washing machine, iron and sink and also a downstairs toilet. There is also a tumble dryer in the garage and a large chest freezer which can be switched on, if needed, prior to arrival . There is a large hallway with space under stairs for coats and shoes. The pine stairway leads to 5 bedrooms , each with it's own storage space . The house is easily recognisable as it has a colourful stained glass window on the landing. The main bathroom has a power shower and jacuzzi bath as well as a sink and toilet. The twin room is ensuite with a smaller shower, toilet and sink and the king sized bedroom is also ensuite with a toilet, sink and shower. Towels and bedding are provided . There is wifi too. It is avaiable for short and long term stays for which a discount is given so please guests are free to enquiry about this. Due to the space and number of bedrooms/ bathrooms it is a good place for large groups and a great place to relax. It's location makes it ideal for business trips in Doncaster, Scunthorpe and Sheffield as well as family breaks in the quiet Lincolnshire countryside known as the Isle of Axholme. We love this house and hope our guests will too! Guests have access to all downstairs rooms (lounge, kitchen diner, toilet, utility room) apart from a small office which is used for storage and admin. The main upstairs bathroom with a bath and separate shower is also available and the number of bedrooms available will depend on the number of guests booked in. Two bedrooms( double and twin) are ensuite with a toilet, sink and shower. In the summer months the back verandah is an ideal place to sit leading onto the lawn and a field- ideal for families with children. Unfortunately I wont be available in person as I will be in Zambia but my neighbour Jane, who is looking after the house, can answer questions and show you around if needed. My co-host Pippa can also answer questions by email. The house is in a friendly semi rural neighbourhood and is close to the historic market town of Epworth which is famous as the birthplace of John Wesley. Belton is part of the Isle of Axholme which Is steeped in history. It is an ideal place for walking and cycling as it is very flat; it is also a great base for exploring both South Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire. It is a perfect place for a quiet weekend away and also great for business travellers who want a quiet setting yet close to the motorway network. The nearest train stations are at Crowle (10 mins drive) and Thorne (15mins) and there are also main stations at Scunthorpe and Doncaster. Our housekeeper Jane lives in the bungalow next door and is available for any help, the co host Jo is 2 mins walk away. As the rooms are carpeted we would be grateful if guests do not wear shoes upstairs or in the lounge . Guests are also required to tidy up before leaving, wash dishes and strip the beds. Long term guests can request a discounted rate and cleaning /change of bedding can be arranged if required at £10 per hour . There are 2 great fish and chip shops within walking distance and also a Chinese takeaway 5 mins away. The Wheatsheaf pub, situated further down Westgate Road, serves food and there are also many eating places in Epworth which is 5 mins drive. This is a quiet, friendly neighbourhood so ideal for anyone wanting homely space in a beautiful location. Great for cycling and walking; surrounded by other Isle of Axholme villages each with their own character. There is a fuel station round the corner with a shop selling basic groceries and a co-op supermarket in Epworth.
