Sa Mariola is an old vineyard house that was constructed in the second half of the 19th century and completely renovated in 2013. Once at the centre of the grape harvest, it is now a a haven of peace and beauty. Surrounded by vineyards, oak, holly oak and wild cherry trees, Sa Mariola is the ideal location for spending a relaxing vacation with family or friends. Welcoming and spacious, the house can host up to five people and is equipped with all mod cons. The veranda and surrounding garden enable you to make the most of the house with al fresco lunches and dinners among the fragrant flowers. The house has two floors. The ground floor consists of an open kitchen that faces the living room, and a small bathroom. The master bathroom with bathtub is located on the first floor, as are the three bedrooms - a double room, a twin room and a single room to which a crib can be added if requested. The house also boasts a veranda with porch, designed for al fresco eating, with a view of the garden and the stunning rose bed. The huge garden surrounding Sa Mariola is dotted with trees that are typical of Mediterranean shrubland. The imposing oaks and holly oaks are joined by cherry, apricot, plum, peach, fig, pomegranate and a century old walnut tree. And it is thanks to the generosity of the fruit orchard that Sa Mariola is able to produce its own jams, a sweet welcome for our guests, together with our organic wine. Located in the heart of Alta Gallura, Sa Mariola is perfectly positioned for discovering the northern coast of Sardinia. In less than an hour’s drive you can reach some of the best known beaches or, if you enjoy quiet and silence, a constellation of small coves of unique beauty. Starting from the North there is Isola Rossa, where the blue sea is even more striking thanks to the colour of the cliffs from which it takes its name; Vignola, with its 17th century watchtower that sits between the sea and the sky, and then Capo Testa and Santa Teresa, where you can take the ferry to Corsica. Moving east you come to Porto Pollo, the surfer’s paradise with its soft sand dunes, and the nearby Palau, protected by its granite bear and point of departure for the enchanting archipelago of Maddalena. Other little islands dot one of the most famous stretches of coast in the world as far as Olbia and the majestic island of Tavolara. The Sa Mariola house can be rented for a minimum of one week (7 nights). The house has central heating and a wood fire, making it comfortable for winter stays. Bedlinen and towels will be provided on your arrival and a slow speed wi-fi connection is also available. Pets are welcome.
