Idyllic Oxfordshire village holiday cottage
Bushnells Cottage is a quaint two bedroom cottage situated in the village of Forest Hill just 8km from Oxford. The cottage sleeps up to three guests in a double bedroom and single bedroom. The cottage is surrounded by picturesque Oxfordshire countryside but with easy access to Oxford city. The cottage is 7km from the village of Wheatley and has easy access to London and the M40. The cottage is stone built and fully refurbished in 2020 with central heating, modern fitted kitchen and underfloor heating. The cottage comprises of: -Front door leading into living room with two sofas, TV and wood-burning stove. Sofa bed sleeps additional one guest. -Kitchen with electric hob and oven, dishwasher, washer-dryer, microwave, toaster and kettle. There is a dining table and seating for four. -Bedroom one with king size bed, bedside tables and wardrobe. -Bedroom two with single bed (90 x 180cm) and wardrobe. -Bathroom with shower, WC and wash basin. OUTSIDE AREA The cottage has a private rear garden and seating area. The garden looks out across to Forest Hill itself and a field with quite a few happy free range chickens. PARKING Roadside parking near the cottage is usually available. It can be a be tight sometimes but you can always park within a minute or so walk of the cottage. We just ask that you park considerately for the neighbours. LOCAL AREA Forest Hill is a friendly village with many other picturesque villages around, such as Stanton-St-John, Horton-Cum-Studley and Brill. It's a wonderful place to stay with such easy access to pretty countryside walks as well as the city of Oxford being on your doorstep. The local pub is called The White Horse. A great local pub with a twist as it is one of the best Thai restaurants for many miles around.
