Fully refurbished in 2019, with new airconditioning, fans, balconies in each room, family-owned Villa Ioanna Drossia is a charming villa with olive grove which comfortably hosts up to 12 guests (8 in 4 rooms, 4 in common areas). 200 m from the sea, near bars, restaurants, just an easy 60-minutes motorway drive from Athens. BBQ, wood oven, mini-soccer, basketball hoop, table tennis, canoe, courtyard, garden. 360 degrees view from the breezy roof terrace, watch the sun set over the sea, cook in the bbq & wood-fired oven, play basketball, mini-football & table-tennis, canoe, explore Euboea & Boeotia (aka Evia & Viotia). The villa is set on three levels: the lowest has a kitchen, dining area, 2 beds and a double sofa-bed, children's playroom, toilet with shower, ceiling fan and air-condition, fridge, washing-machine. On the middle floor there are four rooms with private balconies, two toilets with bath, kitchenette, fridge, fireplace, dining table, TV with Netflix. All rooms have electric fans, brand new, silent, air-conditioning units and window mosquito nets. On the top floor there is a double sofa-bed, a library, sitting area, toilet, a shady balcony and a large terrace with panoramic sea, mountain and sunset views. Brand new beds, pillows and mattresses, all hypoallergenic and made with organic cotton. Visitors have access to all parts of the house and the property. Antonis, your host, and co-owner of Villa Ioanna Drossia, is an experienced green hospitaly advisor and traveller who knows what makes a perfect holiday. He will greet you upon arrival at the property and explain everything about the house. Antonis lives with his family in Athens (1 hour away) but he will be available to assist you by phone or email with any query you may have. Your host will be delighted to provide local tips so that you can make the most from your stay. This is a quiet neighbourhood in the country, traditional olive groves near the sea, close to the famous Alykes sandy beach, the historic port city of Chalcis (Chalkida) and to a multitude of cultural and natural attractions within a 50 km radius. In the nearby village of Drossia there are all amenities (groceries, bakeries, pharmacies, butchers, fishmongers, pizza, souvlaki, pastry shops, petrol stations) There is a public bus service from Chalkida to Drossia every hour Mon-Sat. There is a taxi service from the Chalkida train station. You may reach Chalkida from central Athens and the Athens airport with the suburban railway (proastiakos) οr by intercity bus (KTEL). There are trains every hour or two until 23:00 Mon-Sat. No trains on Sundays. We can also recommend private taxi services from the Airport or any other address in Athens to Villa Ioanna Drossia. Smart TV with Netflix is available. There is a WiFi repeater on the lower floor for better reception. Rates include 15 Euros/day cooling (summer) and heating (winter).
